How it started

2010-2018

Building the Foundation

Nearly a decade spent in industrial sawmill operations provided hands-on experience with milling, grading, lumber handling, machinery, and the realities of producing quality wood products. Those years established the technical knowledge that would later become the foundation of Yellow Cedar Lumber.
2016

Resilience Through Adversity

A serious vehicle accident temporarily changed the direction of Aaron's career, but it never diminished his passion for the forest products industry. The experience reinforced an appreciation for perseverance and the value of building something meaningful.
2018-2021

Planning the Future

While away from the sawmill, the vision for a different kind of lumber company began to take shape—one focused on quality, relationships, and helping customers source premium Canadian lumber with confidence.

Yellow Cedar Lumber was established to connect builders, distributors, and manufacturers with premium Canadian lumber products.
